Class Service Projects

Pre-K - Students will collect hygiene items to be used by Catholic Charities in serving families.  

Kindergarten - Students will collect travel size toiletries to be used the Friars of the Sacred Heart in their monthly Jesus Run for the homeless of Fort Worth. 

First Grade - Students will collect diapers and baby wipes to be used by Catholic Charities in serving families in the Fort Worth area.

Second Grade - The second grade will organize the “Pennies for Beds” campaign of Catholic Charities for OMM. Students will collect pennies by making sacrifices and performing good deeds.  The pennies earned will be sent to Catholic Charities in support of five beds in their new facility.

Third Grade - Students collect school supplies to help students helped by Catholic Charities.  

Fourth Grade - Students will collect toilet tissue and paper towels to donate to homeless women and children housed at the Union Gospel Mission.

Fifth Grade   - The fifth grade students will collect gently used and new toys to give to the “Toys for Tots” campaign.

Sixth Grade - The sixth graders will sponsor two “free dress” days and charge students to participate.  The money raised will be sent to the Maryknoll Missionaries for use in the home for children affected by AIDS in Botswana.

Seventh Grade - The seventh graders will organize our annual canned food drive to supplement the work of the Knights of Peter Claver in their annual Thanksgiving and Christmas basket distribution to needy members of the community. Any excess can goods are donated to the Tarrant County Food Pantry.

Eighth Grade- Community Service
Students will complete individual service projects (10 hour minimum requirement).  This requirement is fulfilled outside the school, on their own time and reflections of the service hour experiences are shared in Religion class and with the parents at the end of the school year 8th Grade Awards Ceremony.    Two joint projects for the class are assisting monthly with bagging groceries for seniors at the Bethlehem Center Program for Seniors and serving the homeless at the Union Gospel Mission.

OMM School Choir - Choir members will serenade the residents of two neighborhood senior citizen facilities and issue gifts made in their art class.
